I have been painting since the year 2000, when I took my first watercolor class from a local professional artist and became hooked.
Today, I enjoy each opportunity I can to pick up a paint brush and create something fun. I like to paint all subject matter, but my preferred focus is Pet Portraits.
After losing several of my pets, I chose to paint them and keep their memories alive in a life-like watercolor portrait. I also love painting other peoples pets, to give them a lasting treasure they too can enjoy.
Un-interupted painting, music, a bouquet of fresh flowers, the fragrance from a lit candle, and a glass of fine wine. These are my key ingredients to a successful painting experience. Cheers!

What an amazing job! She looks exactly like my baby girl! I never thought that watching your progress would contribute so much to my healing process! I encourage everyone to do this! I love you my friend!

I don't know how Laura does it. She doesn't just paint your beloved pet, she captures the essence and personality of them in watercolors. My horse, Magic, is a 30 year old Arabian Gelding. I was with him when he was born. He is my "Heart Friend". The portrait that Laura painted of Magic clearly shows his kindness and love that he has for all people and animals. I will cherish the painting as a lifelong memory.

I was lucky enough to win a pet portrait in a raffle during Carnival's fund raising efforts for Relay for Life. I can't say enough about the amazing job Laura Lodge did
capturing our Gilly Girl!

Laura has painted for me twice. One with our two Westies, Ace and Duce. One with our German Shepherd Jax. They are so meaningful and painted with love. I love my dogs so much. Knowing that I will always have a beautiful painting of my loved furry babies is beyond priceless. My two Westies have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I walk by their painting everyday and I can blow them a kiss or talk to them. Its a comfort still seeing them every day. I love her paintings of my fur babies so much, my next pup will have more than one painting done. Highly recommend having her paint for you!!!!

Pet portraits are a home run for every animal lover! When I lost my best friend "Champ" it was like losing family. To my surprise Laura created a beautiful portrait of my little buddy and it brings back warm feelings to cherish forever. Great work by Laura!

Laura painted a picture of my dog Lacy who died a few years ago and captured her image as though it was life like.
Laura is a talented artist.

We were very happy with Laura’s pet portrait of Cookie, our beloved dog who passed away a few years ago. She captured Cookie’s spirit and personality.
We will definitely use Laura again for our next painting.

I have the most beautiful painting of my 2 beloved twin dogs. It was done from a photo, and I see it every day. They are gone now, but the painting makes me feel like that they are still with me. Laura has done a beautiful rendering of the “twins”, so glad I had it done.
