I have been painting since the year 2000, when I took my first watercolor class from a local professional artist.
I like to paint all subject matter, but my preferred focus is Pet Portraits. After losing several of my pets, I chose to paint them and keep their memories alive in a life-like watercolor portrait. I also love painting other peoples pets, to give them a lasting treasure they too can enjoy.
Un-interrupted painting, music, a bouquet of fresh flowers, the fragrance from a lit candle, and a glass of fine wine. These are my key ingredients to a successful painting experience. Cheers!

My husband, daughter, and I were heartbroken when we had to put our 15 year old “Lucky” to sleep. He was a dachshund so full of life and love. He has been with us thru the good and the bad. Always comforting us and making us laugh with his silly ways. He was our, “little man” like my husband would call him. He was playful, energetic, and was such a softy. We miss him so very much and it has been a struggle these past few weeks. The house is so quiet without him, he added so much joy. After his passing, my husband reached out to Laura to paint a portrait of Lucky for us. When we met with Laura to give us the painting, it brought tears of sadness as well as happiness. Laura captured something so special in Lucky’s eyes. We were speechless and the portrait was perfect! We felt as if our Lucky was right there with us. His head tilted, his loving eyes, and even his personality was displayed in the portrait. I wanted to hug Laura and I couldn’t thank her enough for the joy she brought to us thru her painting. As soon as we left her home, we purchased a frame to hang the portrait in our family room. This is where Lucky spent most of his time with us. I cannot thank Laura enough for the joy and peace her painting has brought us. Just looking at Lucky’s portrait, feels like he is right here with us loving and adoring us each and everyday. We feel like we still have a part of him here in our home. The best part of our day is looking up and seeing him looking at us. Thank you so much Laura for capturing every detail and soul of our Lucky. We will be forever grateful to you for the amazing talent you have in bringing comfort and joy to those who have lost such a special part of their family.

Laura was an answer to my prayers! When I lived in Pennsylvania, I had a beautiful German Shepherd, and when he passed away, I had a portrait of him done and it was wonderful. Now, when living in Florida, my beloved Noodle, who was with us for 17 years, passed on October 17, and I prayed to find a good artist that could capture her beauty and spirit, and Laura surely did! Laura was a joy to work with and just to be around. She finished my Noodle in plenty of time for Christmas as I gave it to my husband as a gift. When he opened it, he started crying because it was so lifelike. Thank you, Laura, for such a wonderful gift of your artistry! Laura is the best, and as a matter-of-fact, I was so pleased with her work that I commissioned her to do my friend's cat, that recently passed, as well as my nieces doggie that is still with us and Laura did a fantastic job on all of them!

On Thanksgiving November 26, 2020 our beloved LuLu Bella "The Lu" passed away from heart failure. The Lu was the matriarch of the household. She would check the house to make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. The Lu could make you jump just by a look or a swipe of her paw. I had the privilege of working with Laura for fifteen years and had first hand experience of her compassion generosity and talent. Laura generously donated her time and talent to many noteworthy charities and causes. Laura painted a picture of The Lu from a photo we gave her. Laura as able to capture the essence of LuLu's strength and beauty more profoundly than any photograph. My wife Carla and I are truly blessed and grateful for having such a talented and compassionate friend in our lives.

Everyone should be lucky enough to have a beloved pet. In my case, Bo, our cat and Charlie, our dog memorialized in a portrait. I don't know if "thank you" and "thank you from my heart" says it all. My pets will always be missed. I am so fortunate that my neighbor told me about Watercolors by Laura. Their portrait hangs beautifully on my wall and I get to smile looking at her work.

After my mother’s beloved Luna passed away, she was devastated. Luna was much more than a pet, she was her faithful companion. Upon Laura learning of Luna’s passing, she painted a beautiful portrait of Luna. She captured the glimmer in her eyes and meticulously painted every detail. I will never forget the day I delivered Luna’s painting to my mother. For the first time in weeks, I saw my mother smile. Luna’s painting truly captured her essence. Laura did a beautiful job and we are beyond grateful to her.

What an amazing job! She looks exactly like my baby girl! I never thought that watching your progress would contribute so much to my healing process! I encourage everyone to do this! I love you my friend!

I don't know how Laura does it. She doesn't just paint your beloved pet, she captures the essence and personality of them in watercolors. My horse, Magic, is a 30 year old Arabian Gelding. I was with him when he was born. He is my "Heart Friend". The portrait that Laura painted of Magic clearly shows his kindness and love that he has for all people and animals. I will cherish the painting as a lifelong memory.

Laura has painted for me twice. One with our two Westies, Ace and Duce. One with our German Shepherd Jax. They are so meaningful and painted with love. I love my dogs so much. Knowing that I will always have a beautiful painting of my loved furry babies is beyond priceless. My two Westies have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I walk by their painting everyday and I can blow them a kiss or talk to them. Its a comfort still seeing them every day. I love her paintings of my fur babies so much, my next pup will have more than one painting done. Highly recommend having her paint for you!!!!

Pet portraits are a home run for every animal lover! When I lost my best friend "Champ" it was like losing family. To my surprise Laura created a beautiful portrait of my little buddy and it brings back warm feelings to cherish forever. Great work by Laura!

We were very happy with Laura’s pet portrait of Cookie, our beloved dog who passed away a few years ago. She captured Cookie’s spirit and personality.
We will definitely use Laura again for our next painting.

I have the most beautiful painting of my 2 beloved twin dogs. It was done from a photo, and I see it every day. They are gone now, but the painting makes me feel like that they are still with me. Laura has done a beautiful rendering of the “twins”, so glad I had it done.
